Houses, now shops and offices. Late C18 or early C19, with early to mid C19 shop fronts. Stucco scored to imitate ashlaring. Roof not visible due to extreme narrowness of Meeting House Lane. 3 storeys. One window each. Each has a flat-arched entrance which is part of an early to mid C19 shop front. The fronts were undoubtedly constructed at the same time and adhere to a near identical pattern: thin Tuscan pilasters flank each entrance; another pilaster at each party wall. Shallow entablature continuous across row. All windows are flat arched with projecting sills; each has an 8 x 8 sash of original design. INTERIOR: not inspected. These buildings form a most important group with Nos 1-12, 22-32, 36-41, and 43-50 Meeting House Lane (qv), which is the centre of the section of the Old Town known as The Lanes.
