Detached house. Early C19. Stucco, roof of late C20 tiles. 2 storeys, 2 windows, double-fronted. Entrance with heavily depressed 4-centred arch with hoodmould; all windows under a similar arch, those to the ground floor with hoodmoulds; canopied niched above entrance containing the statue of a knight; Lombard frieze to embattled parapet with 'PORT HALL' inscribed on a central panel in Gothic Revival script; 2-span roof. INTERIOR: not inspected. Stretch of flint wall to right with 3-light Gothic windows inserted and a niche with a statue of St Francis. Stuccoed and coped boundary walls with square coped piers and gate piers. (Carder T: The Encyclopaedia of Brighton: Lewes: 1990-).
