Terraced houses. c1825. Probably designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustin Busby. Roofs of Nos 16 & 17 slate, of No.18 tile. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and dormers over basement. 2 windows each. Stairs up to round-arched entry with fanlight to door which is framed by fluted Tuscan pilasters and entablature; entrance to No.17 set, in addition, in plain aedicule, with panelling to the arch spandrels. Entrance to No.18 set under porch consisting of attached and fluted Ionic columns and entablature. Chamfered rustication to ground floor. No.18 has a full-height bay, canted to the ground floor and segmental above; the windows flat-arched and tripartite. Nos 16 & 17 have a segmental bay to first and second floor only; to either side of the latter's rise fluted Ionic pilasters. Window on the first and on second floor to right of the bay, over entrance. All windows flat-arched. First-floor balcony to No.16 with railings of cast-iron. Balcony to first-floor bay only of No.18; cast-iron brackets and railings. Cornice and blocking course, partial to No.16, where the bay stops just short of the original cornice line. 2 flat-arched dormers to each. Stacks to party walls. INTERIOR: not inspected. Railings to stairs and areas.
