Terraced houses. c1846. Built by Thomas Cubitt. Stucco. Roofs
parapeted.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and attic storey over basement. One window
each. All openings flat arched. Steps up to entrances;
overlight above; landing to No.11's entrance shared with No.10
(qv). Ground floor treated as banded rustication. Continuous
first-floor balcony with cast-iron brackets and railings.
No.11 has a first-floor canted bay with tripartite windows and
cornice. To the right of No.12's entrance is a canted bay with
tripartite windows. Sashes of original design to both bays: 2
x 2 to centre and 1 x 1 to sides, all with top and bottom
margin lights. Bay to first through attic floors of No.12 is
off axis with the ground-floor bay; cornice band between first
and second floors of bay. The storey band between first and
second floors does not continue across the bay. Second-floor
and attic windows with projecting sills. Entablature band and
cornice to attic storeys. Basement sashes of an original 10 x
10. Railing to stairs and areas. Stacks to party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Nos 1-17 Belgrave Place (consecutive) (qv) form an important
group.
