Terraced houses. c1826. No.17 probably by Amon Wilds and
Charles Augustus Busby. No.18 in stucco, No.17 brick laid in
Flemish bond. Roof obscured by parapet.
4 storeys over basement. 2-window range in No.17, one-window
range in No.18. Steps up to round-arched entry with fanlight.
No.18 has an entry porch with a gabled roof, treated as a
pediment with a raking cornice; this is supported by brackets
with entablature blocks. Doors of original design. To the
right of the entry is a full-height segmental bay with
tripartite, flat-arched windows; some sashes of original
design. Blocked camber-arched windows over the entry of No.17,
which has a cast-iron window guard to first floor windows of
bay and a brick dentil cornice. Stacks to party wall.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Railings to stairs and areas.
