Archway, said to be from west front of St Michael's Church (now Heritage Centre, Bridge Street and Row, Chester IM). Perhaps late C12. Red sandstone. Badly eroded; removed from the church probably 1849-50 when it was largely rebuilt by James Harrison. A round archway with hollow chamfer and eroded arris-mould to east face; a gabled hoodmould; buttresses at south-east and north-east corners. A small pointed archway north, perhaps from another source; it has one stone forming each side of arch, the north stone broken in two; a recessed chamfer to west face and an eroded square rebate, east.
