- Headstone approx 2m S of E
bay of nave, in St Mary's
churchyard.
GV II
Headstone. Limestone. Inscription reads: "1711 (?). Erected by Hezekiah
Walker of London, Plumber, in memory of his beloved Mother and Father. Here
lies the body of Thomas Walker of Leighton, who dyed 4th of May 1705 in y 77
year of his age. Ann his wife who (... illegible)". Carved decoration to
upper part includes pick and shovel surmounted by 2 skulls and flanked by
winged hour glasses with trumpets and scythe. Framed by scrollwork carving to
upper edges.
