2. Remnants of earlier C15, but mostly C16 with C17 wing. Brick facing, partly C18 (on south-west front). Interior has much later C16 and C17 timber. At east end is remaining bay of original aisled hall with contemporary cross wing. Small 2-light window to west with horned, leaded panes. Surrounded by moat and situated in the park. (Pevsner, Middlesex; RCHM).
