STANDISH-WITH-LANGTREE BRADLEY LANE SD 51 SE (south side) 2/116 Bradley Hall 24.5.82 Public House (formerly listed as Bradley Hall) II House, now public house. C16 or C17 with mid C19 casing. Brick with stone dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 gabled bays, the 3rd bay projects. Stone base and quoins; decorative barge boards. Windows have brick flat arches and 3-light frames with moulded mullions, those to ground floor with transoms, all lights cusped. Gabled porch has entrance with 4-centred head and half-glazed door; small light to right. Right return has projecting lateral stack and 2 gabled bays with 2-storey canted bay windows. Left return has gabled projection. Interior has substantial remains of timber-framed structure. Cross wall between 1st and 2nd bays, probably original gable-end. 1st bay has ovolo moulded beams and posts to both floors. Ground floor room has moulded beams; 3rd bay has fireplace bressumer and later stone fireplace with herring bone brick back. 1st floor has king post and strut trusses on wallposts; chamfered beam to 3rd bay projection.
