Church. 1835. By Lewis Vulliamy. Ashlar with slate roof.
Wide nave with 3-sided gallery, small chancel with bell-cote
above and central west door. 5-bay nave, each bay with two
lancet windows, small central buttress and gableted
weathered buttress. Corbelled eaves with octagonal corner
pinnacles. Chancel has low vestries to north and south, a
clock face, a 3-light lancet window to the east and a bell-
cote with lancet openings, crocketed gables and a small
stone spire. Interior: the panelled gallery rests on cast
iron columns; carved timber chancel screen and pulpit, and
stained glass window. The Church was built for the Church
Commissioners. A similar design was executed by Vulliamy at
St. John the Baptist, Smallbridge (q.v.).
