2/35 The Mill House Hotel
II
House now restaurant. C17 with extensive C19 and C20 extensions to right end.
Timber framed to left and centre with roughcast cladding below on rendered
plinth, tile hung above in a mixture of fishscale and diagonal patterns.
Coursed whitewashed stone to right with plain tile hanging above. Plain
tiled roofs, hipped to left and lower on right end; front ridge stack to
left, taller ridge stack to right of centre and stacks to rear. 2 storeys
to centre and attic in projecting gable front cross wing to left, 2 storeys
to right and in hipped roof wing to right end; moulded brick band over
ground floor left and centre. 3 leaded mullion and transome casement windows
across first floor centre and left, 2 leaded casements to first floor right.
Leaded casement doors to ground floor, 2 pairs to left of centre, one pair to
right. Left hand return front: timber frame exposed with rough-cast infill.
3 framed bays. Panelled door to left of centre in wrought iron and glazed
segmental headed porch. Flat roof C20 extensions to rear.
Interior: some framing visible to left end.
