Church. 1900. Austin and Paley. English bond brick with
stone dressings and clay tile roof. Nave, clerestory and
aisles which were intended to be much longer but are
unfinished, transepts, chancel and vestry. 2-bay clerestory
and aisles with 3-light traceried clerestory windows and 4-
light cusped aisle windows. The south transept is a
continuation of the aisle as is the l-bay chancel of the
nave, but the north transept is tall, roofed separately, and
has an east facing bellcote of original design with cusped
arcading, swept coping and grotesque corner figures. At this
point only, the eaves are coped and have carved mouchettes.
The vestry is roofed pyramidally and the east window has 5
lights, 2 tiers and cusped heads. Interior: brick faced,
double-chamfered moulded brick nave arcade with octagonal
stone columns. Crossing arches of 3 different heights and
king-post roof. Ogee-headed sedilia and piscina. Original
light fittings.
