Terrace of 8 houses. c.1830. Probably by John Foster junior. Stone with slate roof. 2 storeys with attic storey and basement,2 central houses and the house at each end project, of 2 bays each (No 3 has extra, recessed end bay); other houses of 3 bays. Projecting houses have channelled rustication to ground floor; 1st floor sill band and frieze and cornice over 1st floor, top cornice and blocking course. Projecting elements have giant angle pilasters, and paired pilasters to attic storey with acroteria above. Central gable with honeysuckle finial. Doric colonnades in antis run between projecting elements, with entablatures and balconies over window to ground and 1st floors of projecting elements have architraves, those to ground floor panelled, those to 1st floor carved with honeysuckle flowers in upper angles. Entrances have panelled pilasters to doorcase and complete overlights. No. 3 has projecting entrance with angle in entablatures, No. 17 has similar porch on return. No.s 9 and 11 have porch with paired antae. Iron area railings with arrow heads and stone piers. Iron 1st floor balconies that to left later.A fine terrace which contributes to one of the best streets in the city.
