49/354 Nos. 135 to 139 (odd) 14.3.75 - II

House, now shop and offices. c.1790. 4 storeys and 6 x 6 bays, with dentilled cornice. No. 139 has a stuccoed ground floor, the rest have Edwardian shop fronts. Upper floors have sashed windows, most with glazing bars, all with stone sills and lintels. Return facade to Trueman Street: the 1st 5 bays forming a symmetrical composition round a 3 bay pedimented centre. 1st bay has stucco ground floor. Reeded band over ground floor and 1st floor sill band, dentilled cornice. Round-arched entrance with Doric doorcase flanked by ornamented panels. Readed frieze and cornice with flanlight over, 1st floor has a Venetian window with columns and ornamented apron, standing on continuous reeded band; flush balustrading to 2nd and 4th windows. Centre window on 2nd floor has ornamented architrave and panelled pilasters to top floor, cornice and blocking course; central pediment, 6 stacks with cornices.
