Manor house. Early C17, refronted c1804. Rendered, emphasised quoins, small central stone date-plaque with illegible inscription, parapet with plain coping, hipped slate roof, single brick stack visible from the street, small central square cupola with ogee "fish scale" slate roof, similar slate hangings to its walls, 3-light casement with leaded lights and stained glass to each side, ball final to roof with a wind-vane dated 1752. Three storeys, 3 bay frontage, 12-pane sash windows, flush mounted, stepped voussoirs. Door opening to left, massive framed and studded door in a moulded surround, stopped to base, carved brackets (outer ends broken off and hood missing); decorative carved wood attached to lintel. Inner lobby, further door opening, 6-panelled door with flanking pilasters, fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Fine late C17 plaster ceiling to front room on first floor with pendant, incorporates early C19 painted decoration; similar early C19 decoration to front ground floor room; late C17 dog-leg staircase, some C17 doors and door surrounds to first floor; other, minor co-eval features including Victorian wall paper to first floor.
