Massive stack to right of through- passage has infilled inglenook fireplaces, that facing passage having chamfered wooden lintel with straight-cut stops; position of original ladder-type staircase visible to rear of stack and present oak winder staircase in porch (cutting through wall-plate) is probably a late C17 or early C18 insertion; plank and muntin doors with pointed strap hinges on both floors.
