Dower House SO 78 NE 29/42 9.3.70.

II* GV

2. Queen Anne. Red brick; stone plinth; moulded band; rusticated quoins. 2 storeys; 9 sash windows, some being recessed panels painted with imitation glazing bars. The two doorways are a striking feature having fluted Ionic pilasters, pediments broken in centre with raised scrolls and rectangular fanlights with small square panes. Said originally to have had 5 bays, the house was evidently divided into two dwellings and the second doorway transferred from the back to the front. On either side of the windows above each doorway are vertical stone bands carved with a most interesting key-pattern and rosettes; hipped tiled roof with modillion eaves cornice and 2 dormers with similar treatment and fitted with C19 round headed casements. St Andrew's Church, Dower House, Nos 29 and 30 and Vicarage form a group
