Former Inn, now two houses. C17 to rear, extended and altered in early C19. Timber
framed on rendered plinth with whitewashed Flemish bond brick work infill, rendered
infill to parapet. Plain tiled roofs. Parallel range plan. Two storeys over
cellars to left, 3 storeys to centre and right. Large end stack panelled, to left
end, further stack to right of centre. Very irregular front with wood framed
parapet. Two bays to left with two 12-pane glazing bar sash windows in first floor
and one large 3-light glazing bar window to ground floor below. 3 casement windows
and one C19 12-pane glazing bar sash window across the second floor to centre and
right. Two glazing bar sash windows to left of centre. Fine,early C19 bow window
to right of centre on ground and first floors and to right end with modillion eaves
to top of window. Fluted Doric pilaster "mullions" and original glazing bars to
angle bay on ground floor below. Panelled door to left in Doric pilaster surround
and under dentilled entablature. Half-glazed, diamond-pane, leaded door to right
under flat hood on braces.
